This exciting tour goes in search of some of eastern India’s rarest and most endangered mammals, across three beautiful National Parks – Manas, Kaziranga and Singalila.
On the southern banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River lies Kaziranga, one of India’s most significant reserves. Manas’ scenic beauty is worthy of a visit in itself, but this World Heritage national park bordering Bhutan also hosts some of the most endangered wildlife in India, and a fabulous birdlife. One of India’s smallest national parks, Singalila is a pure gem. Whether you want to spot the iconic and adorable Red Pandas, spectacular Himalayan vistas, hundreds of orchids, or rhododendron blooms, Singalila will not disappoint.
In Manas and Kaziranga, the tiger shares the jungle with rhinos, elephants, wild buffalo, swamp deer and the pygmy hog, one of the most endangered species in the world. These unique, bountiful and stunningly beautiful habitats will thrill all wildlife lovers and photographers.
Listen to the haunting calls of the only true ape in the Indian subcontinent, the Hoolock gibbon at the Gibbon sanctuary where a support cast of no less than 6 primate species makes tracking them on foot through the sanctuary a truly memorable experience
Tracking the elusive Golden Langur is done best at Manas, and at the wildlife reserve of Kakoijana, a major stronghold of the endangered species.
