The Last House is a chic boutique property on Sri Lanka’s south coast, located at the end of Mawella Beach. Geoffrey Bawa, a well-known Sri Lankan architect, designed it as his final project. Each of the six bedrooms has a view of the ocean or the lagoon and is furnished with a mix of modern and antique furniture with splashes of vibrant colours throughout. The Cinnamon Hill Suite featuring an iron bath in the centre of the bathroom is popular with couples. Larger family groups can rent out the entire property, and the Last House staff, including a personal chef, will be on hand to cater to their every need.
