Land of Superlatives

India

A lifetime isn’t enough to fully explore India, yet a day is enough to make you fall in love with it

For centuries, India has seduced visitors with its charms. From the towering Himalayan peaks in the north to the vast tropical southern peninsular, India offers such variety of cultures, languages, traditions, cuisines, architectures, landscapes and wildlife that each corner of India feels uniquely distinct, and yet always remains distinctly Indian.

Whether you are planning your first visit, or your umpteenth, you’ll be spoilt by the choices that await you.

Why Visit?

Perhaps the question should be rephrased as ‘Why would anyone not want to visit India?’ One of the most captivating places on the planet, it features in most travellers’ bucket lists. Whatever your interests, somewhere in India is perfect for you.

A land and people that have for long been stereotyped and spoken of in clichés and superlatives, India is all that and yet more. Improvements in connectivity mean journeys are now easier, faster and comfortable than they ever were. Accommodation quality and range will please even the most demanding.

While India offers a spectacular variety of sights and experiences, the majority of visitors only enjoy a small proportion on well-trodden paths. Let us use our destination expertise to create your perfect itinerary, whether you want to tick off the big ticket items, or explore beyond the ‘well-Instagrammed’ path.

Wildlife

Wildlife is thriving in India, making it one of the top wildlife destinations in the world.

For most visitors, Indian wildlife is synonymous with Tigers. India’s ‘Project Tiger’, launched in 1973 in nine reserves has now expanded to 50 tiger reserves and is considered the biggest conservation project in the world. The Royal Bengal Tiger is an “umbrella species”, whose protection ensures protection of entire habitats.

Yet Indian wildlife is much more than Tigers. India hosts a sizeable percentage of the world’s floral and faunal wealth. Its avian diversity is twice that of all Europe, and by conservative estimates it has about 10% each of the world’s mammalian, reptile, insect and fish species.

No matter where you are in India, an enchanting wildlife encounter is never far away.
