Who are the Travel Trust Association?

The TTA is a travel trade association. Their members consist of travel agents, tour operators and travel organisers. That’s folks like Instep Adventures.

The TTA exists to provide you, our customers, with 100% financial protection and has been doing so for over 20 years. From the point of view of your financial protection, membership of the TTA is equivalent to memberships of other travel associations such as ABTA, and ABTOT.

How does the Travel Trust Association provide 100% financial protection?

All your payments are payable to a specially designated trust account, and not directly to us. Your money remains in this trust account and is supervised by an appointed trustee who is either a banker, chartered or certified accountant or a solicitor, whose authorisation is required for us to receive any payments to be made to from the trust account.

TTA further guarantees that if by reason of fraud or dishonesty, your money is not in the Trust Account under this guarantee, the TTA guarantees the financial obligation of its members to repay such sum to you up to a maximum anyone passenger of £11,000.

Therefore, the Trust Account plus the TTA guarantee ensures that all your payments are fully protected and available to reimburse. When you make a booking, you will be supplied with a guarantee certificate.

How does this protect you?

Our membership of the TTA means that you can book your holiday with Instep Adventures with complete peace of mind, knowing that the TTA will protect you in the unlikely event of us becoming insolvent.

Should we for any reason financially fail or cease trading, the TTA will liaise with the suppliers and Tour Operators to ensure that your holiday goes ahead unaffected. If for any reason this is not possible, TTA will administer a claim for a refund of money that you have paid us for your holiday.
