Join this small-group photography tour to the jungles of Tadoba National Park. Tadoba is one of the best places in the world to photograph wild tigers, home to a thriving tiger population.
Located in wildlife-rich Central India, Tadoba’s teak forests are a perfect home for the tiger. Land of Taru, as it is famously known, these jungles were once ruled by the tribal Gond kings. Signs of their fallen empire can still be seen in an area spread over more than 600 sq. km. Tadoba supports the highest population of tigers in the state of Maharashtra.
The support cast includes leopards, jungle cats, sloth bears and dholes (wild dogs) and a variety of prey species like sambar deer, barking deer, spotted deer (chital), nilgai, chinkara and langur monkeys. The park’s ancient landscape make for spectacular backdrops for wildlife photography.
Tadoba is a hub of tiger activity, including subadults and cubs, making this tour ideal for all wildlife lovers and amateur photographers. Join us to hone your photography skills and spend time in the Indian jungles with expert guides, observing and photographing dynamic animal behaviour.
April is perhaps the best month for tiger and wildlife photography in central India. The weather is quite hot and dry, but peak summer heat is still to come. Sparse vegetation and warm temperatures increase chances of photographing tigers and other wildlife as they frequent watering holes. Tigers love cooling down in water, and once they find a good spot they’ll spend hours there, happy to pose for photographers.
We will use knowledge and experience to get the group in the right place at the right time, and to advice on animal behaviour and photography in the jungles of India.
The tour is limited to a maximum of 9 guests, allowing for space in the safari vehicles for your comfort and photography convenience.
