Sumit’s passions for history, culture, wildlife, photography and travel came into life early, ultimately tempting him away from a long successful career in semiconductor technology and management to start Instep Adventures.
Sumit has spent many happy days travelling the Indian sub-continent, solo, with his young family and with his tour groups. His wealth of ‘insider’ knowledge and network of trusted mentors, leaders and guides across the region have inspired him to offer more rewarding and responsible holiday experiences.
Sumit has first hand experience of travelling to the far corners of the sub-continent with young ones, with all the logistics, concerns and joys that come with it. His children have seen more of India than most adults will in their lifetime, and are now both savvy travellers themselves. He thinks his methods work. His children may or may not agree. But that’s parenthood for you.
