Dr. Sethuraman Suresh holds a Master’s degree in Archaeology from the University of Madras, a PhD. in Roman Archaeology from JNU, New Delhi and another PhD in medieval Indian art from the University of Mysore, Mysore.
He has been the recipient of several prestigious prizes, awards and fellowships in India and England, and the Fulbright Senior Research Fellowship from USA. As a Fulbright Scholar, he has lectured at many American Universities including Harvard.
Dr. Suresh has published research articles in international academic journals, authored museum catalogues, school textbooks, teacher’s guidebooks, historical novels and travelogues for children. Most of his books have been published by the Oxford University Press. He writes a regular column for The Times of India.
He is currently Tamil Nadu State Convener, Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), Chennai.
