The jungles of Central India have long been associated with the legends of the Royal Bengal Tiger, and are today these national parks are some of the best places in the world to observe Tigers at close quarters
Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book was inspired by this sweeping landscape that lies at the very heart of India.
Our Tiger Marathon is for dedicated wildlife lovers, and photographers who wish to immerse themselves in the intoxicating pursuit of the tiger. We shall explore the varied landscapes and terrains of Tadoba, Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks on this Tiger marathon, and expect a series of great sightings.
Besides tigers, these jungles host an amazing variety of mammals including Leopards, Dholes, Gaur, Sloth Bear, Sambhar, Spotted Deer, Wild Boar and Jackals. There’s even a herd of Elephants now in Bandhavgarh National Park. The birdlife is very rich too. This all leads to the inevitable truth – you’ll need a lot of memory cards and spare batteries for your camera on this trip!
Each departure will be led by our expert naturalists, who will work to maximize your chances of tiger sightings, based on their years of experience and local knowledge.
The group will run with a minimum of 4 guests, which allows us to use 2 safari vehicles, with 2 guests in each vehicle, with the expert riding in each vehicle in turns. We’ve kept the maximum group size to 7, which ensures that each vehicle has no more than 4 people (3 guests + expert in the first vehicle, and 4 guests in the second vehicle). This gives ample room in each vehicle for photography.
