Amankora Gangtey

Amankora Gangtey

Gangtey
, Bhutan

Perched on a wooded hilltop, this lodge offers eight suites with panoramic views of the valley and the ancient Gangtey Goemba monastery from the 16th century. A scenic trail leads guests through the forest and down to the lodge that overlooks the beautiful valley landscape and fields of dwarf bamboo and potato crops.

The lodge accommodations and guest areas are housed in a rammed-earth building. The living and dining room features cozy chairs and sofas and family style dining tables, with floor to ceiling windows that showcase the valley and the mountains. Two massage treatment rooms and changing areas, and a cozy yoga/meditation room are available on the lodge’s ground floor.
