Responsible/Sustainable Tourism

At CGH Earth, our every thought and action is rooted in preserving and nurturing our environment. Waste management is a sacred ritual for us, as we segregate degradable and non-degradable waste, recycling food waste in our biogas plant to generate gas for the kitchens, while recycling every bit of dry waste we generate. Further to this, Marari Beach has outed around 45,000 units of packaged drinking water in plastic bottles from its waste stream, replacing them with RO treated water, packaged in reusable glass bottles, with an aim to reduce waste generation.

CGH Earth also cares immensely for the people of the land we inhabit. We work alongside local farmers to grow produce that is not just good for us, but also good for the land. The nearby fishing community is an integral part of our resort. We source fresh seafood from our fishermen, while the women of the village weave palm leaves for our annual roof thatching of the cottages and sell us products they make from homespun coconut fibre.

We also work with local schools and governing bodies, encouraging the students of the community to eat healthy from a young age. The cottages at Marari reflect the culture and lifestyle of the fisherman community. Infused with a strongly native aesthetic, the roofs are thatched with coconut leaves.

Our bathrooms echo nature, to offer you the experience of bathing under the open skies. The serene, balmy private pools and sea breeze lull you into deep relaxation.
