Day 1: Arrival

On arrival at Bandaranaike International airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel in Negombo.

The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Negombo & Kandy

Begin your morning with a visit to a local fishing village. where fishermen still use centuries-old cast net techniques. They also use distinctive fishing boats, much like catamarans carved from tree trunks and attached to huge sails. Absorb the gentle energy of the morning, and let the thoughts of your daily life slip away as you observe these fishing boats sailing to and from the shore with their day’s catch.

Afterwards you’ll leave for Kandy where you’ll visit the Temple of the Tooth. The temple’s spiritual ambience invites you to quietly contemplate, or just relax watching the pilgrims from far and wide offering prayers.

Later, proceed to your beautiful wellness resort in the mountains and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Days 3 & 4: Wellness at Santani

Santani is regularly voted as one of the best, if not the very best Wellness resort in Sri Lanka. Day 5: Nuwara Eliya

Day 6: Horton Plains

This morning, an early start to visit the Horton Plains National Park. Horton Plains National Park is the only National Park in Sri Lanka where visitors are allowed to walk freely inside. It is situated 2200 m above sea in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, approximately 20 km south of Nuwara Eliya and covers 3162 hectares in extent. The climate here is a wet montane climate with a mean annual temperature of 15 centigrade.

The vegetation in Horton Plains is defined as Montane Rainforests or Cloud Forests where trees grow gnarled and not exceeding 15 meters in height. Horton Plains is famous for World’s End, a stunning viewpoint, which is a sheer drop of 870 meters often hidden in clouds.

There are several trails of varying lengths in the National Park, of which the one leading to World’s End and Baker Falls is the most popular. Your guide can help chose the best trails based on your preferences.

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya

For centuries, Tea has been known to relax and rejuvenate tired minds and bodies. If you are among the millions who long for a good cuppa to recharge your batteries, you will love experiencing the Ceylon tea making process for yourself.

Your guide will accompany you to a tea plantation and tea factory where you can learn and see how plucked leaves are dried and sorted into the teas you buy at the shops. You’ll learn about the various grades of tea, and enjoy a tea testing session.

Afterwards, enjoy a city tour of Nuwara Eliya, a picturesque hill town with quaint colonial touches.

Day 8: Scenic Train Journey

After enjoying your breakfast, prepare yourself for the most scenic train rides in Sri Lanka.

Your guide will drop you at Nanu Oya railway station and pick you again from Ella railway station. Depending on the availability, A/C first class/observation tickets will be provided so you can enjoy the wonderful train journey in comfort.

Later, proceed to Yala National Park by road.

Day 9: Yala National Park

We share the planet with an amazing variety of animal and birdlife, and today, you’ll embark on morning & afternoon safaris at Yala National Park to marvel at some of Sri Lanka’s best.

Yala is the most popular wildlife sanctuary in Sri Lanka, and offers one of the best chances to see Leopards and Sloth Bears. You may also see Elephant, Sambhar, Spotted Deer, Wild Boar, Stripe-necked, Brown & Ruddy Mongooses, Black-naped Hare & several civet species.

Days 10: Talalla

After enjoying your breakfast leave for Talalla where you check into the Talalla Retreat for your second rejuvenation stay. Here you’ll have time to enjoy the beach, practice yoga & make use of the excellent spa facilities.
