The Pekoe Trail is Sri Lanka’s premier long-distance hiking trail that enables visitors to discover the varying terrains and local communities that inhabit the central highlands.
Consisting of 22 stages between Kandy and Nuwara Eliya, the trail takes visitors through hill towns, vast tea plantations, remote villages, wildlife habitats, stunning viewpoints, lush forests, and cultural and historical locations.
Visitors can choose sections based on difficulty, time available and points of interest. The sections typically covers between 10 to 20km.
